Johnny B Golf
Golf is hard. We still keep coming back
Course notes, golf destinations, useful gear, and an honest look at the game.
Meet Johnny B
Meet the golfer behind Johnny B Golf—and the man who has learned that no matter how good the last round was, golf is always ready to humble you.
He’ll be sharing the courses worth playing, the gear he actually uses, golf destinations he’d return to, and a straightforward take on what makes a great day on the course. Expect practical advice, a few opinions, and the occasional story about a round that did not go quite as planned.
Johnny B Golf brings his perspective to the courses we play, the places we visit, the gear we use, and the golf days we enjoy together.
Golf is hard. That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fun.
Golf Destinations
Courses worth planning a trip around—and what to do after the round.
Prescott, Arizona
StoneRidge Golf Course
Beautiful views, big elevation changes, and more than a few places for a golf ball to disappear. This course combines golfing & hiking. Bring an extra sleeve and enjoy the ride.
Chandler, Arizona
Springfield Golf Resort
A regular stop for us, both for a round and for lessons. It’s a comfortable course to play, a good place to work on your game, and home to the golf instruction we trust when the swing starts getting ideas of its own.
Pinetop/Lakeside, Arizona
Pinetop Lakes Golf Course
One of the things I enjoy most about this course is the setting. You're surrounded by tall pines, lush green fairways, and the occasional wild mustang sharing the course.

What’s in My Bag
The balls, gear, and golf-day essentials I actually use.
Srixon Golf Balls
The ball I reach for most often. Good feel around the green, reliable off the tee, and forgiving enough for the kind of golf I play.
Rangefinder
This rangefinder is accurate, easy to use, and especially helpful on unfamiliar courses. It tells me the right distance—but I still might choose the wrong club anyway.
My Golf Shoes
Comfortable enough for eighteen holes, supportive through the swing, and still presentable when we stop for lunch afterward.
Johnny B Golf Goods
Branded golf gear is in the works. The first Johnny B Golf hat is currently being tested where it matters—on the course.
