Little Italy Spritz
The Little Italy Spritz was inspired by our trip to San Diego. It is the one I reach for when I want something that feels a little celebratory without much actual effort — limoncello, prosecco, a splash of sparkling water, and whatever mint is still alive on the patio. It comes together in about the time it takes to fill the glass with ice.
No shaker, no simple syrup, nothing to clean up after — just three ingredients and a gentle stir.

2 oz limoncello
3 oz prosecco
1 oz S. Pellegrino sparkling water
Fresh mint sprig
Lemon twist
How to Make It
Fill a wine glass with ice.
Pour in the limoncello, then top with prosecco and S. Pellegrino.
Give it one gentle stir.
Garnish with mint and a lemon twist.
Pro Tips / Notes
Serve in a stemless wine glass for an easy patio pour — no stem to keep track of, no tipping over on an uneven table.
Making it for a crowd? Multiply the ratios and build it in a pitcher, then stir gently and pour over ice so the bubbles hold.
Keep the S. Pellegrino for last, poured gently — it's what keeps the bubbles alive through the whole glass.
Short on limoncello? Tragic. I make a homemade version every year for the holidays. I’ll share that recipe soon.
What to Serve It With
Pairs naturally with Shrimp Sambuca for a light patio spread, assuming the shrimp doesn't disappear before the spritz is even poured.
For serving, a simple stemless wine glass and a set of good appetizer plates go a long way.
