A RELAXED AFTERNOON ON THE GREENS
What a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
We had lunch at Springfield Golf Resort, after playing a great round of golf, we ended up staying longer than planned — which is always a good sign. Springfield is a semi-private executive course, that is also open to the public — making it a perfect place to spend the afternoon.

AN ARIZONA GOLF COURSE DONE WELL
Springfield Golf Resort is one of those places that reminds you why Arizona golf is so loved this time of year. The course is beautifully maintained, with green fairways winding through the desert landscape and an atmosphere that feels relaxed from the moment you arrive.
The staff in the pro shop are especially welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall experience in a way that never feels rushed or overly formal. Whether you’re there for a full round of golf or simply lingering over lunch afterward, it’s the kind of place that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the afternoon.
THE SETTING
Springfield does this kind of setting really well.
Soft desert landscaping, comfortable outdoor spaces, and places designed to sit for a while and take it all in.
Even if you’re not a golfer, it’s worth going for the atmosphere alone.
THE LUNCH EXPERIENCE
Lunch here isn’t complicated — and that’s exactly why it works.
The menu leans simple. Fresh ingredients, familiar options, nothing overdone.
I kept it light — a Chicken Wrap that was fresh, relaxed, and just right for the setting.
If you want to bring a little of that feeling home, I’ve shared a simple version inspired by what I ordered — easy to make and perfect for this kind of afternoon.

RECREATE THE FEEL AT HOME
A few pieces that help create this kind of afternoon—calm, functional, and thoughtfully chosen.
Simple, easy and comfortable.
THE FIREBIRD MOMENT
This is the window we get in Arizona — the one the firebirds know well.
Still comfortable enough to be outside.
The kind of afternoons where lunch stretches a little longer than planned, in the best possible way.
And bringing a little of that feeling home?
